Grew up in Melbourne's Northcote scene running an after-hours night out of a warehouse off Smith Street, where the rule was: if you weren't there by 4 AM, the address didn't get sent. Worked nights as a kitchen porter for eleven months while the residency built a following.

Moved to Berlin in 2021 on a working holiday visa and ended up staying after a Klubnacht set that became a small piece of folklore — the kind of set people who weren't there still claim they were. Now holds a quarterly residency at ://about blank and has played every major European festival above ten thousand capacity.

Roster handles his worldwide booking. Releases on Token and his own imprint Hayes Collective, refuses festival mainstage slots before midnight as a personal rule, and travels with a single hardware case that has not been checked into a hold since 2022.
